Double-Acting Pneumatic Ball Valves

Phoenix ValSteer is a pneumatic ball valve exporter in India supplying double-acting pneumatic ball valve assemblies for industrial applications. Each package combines a stainless steel or carbon steel ball valve with a rack and pinion actuator sized for the required torque, providing fast cycling, repeatable shut-off and long service life under high operating pressures.

In a double-acting configuration, compressed air is used to both open and close the valve, giving controlled movement in both directions. The fail position is defined by the control system rather than by a spring, so double-acting pneumatic ball valves are suitable for high-cycle on off duties, batching lines and automated manifolds where air consumption and actuator size must be optimised.

VALSTEER assemblies are built around ISO 5211 mounting and NAMUR accessory interfaces and can be supplied with solenoid valves, air filter regulators, limit switch boxes and positioners where required. All packages are engineered and tested to relevant API, ASME and ISO standards and can be documented with datasheets, torque calculations and test reports for oil and gas, chemical, water treatment, power and other process industry projects.

Single-Acting (Spring-Return) Pneumatic Ball Valves

Phoenix ValSteer is a pneumatic ball valve exporter in India supplying single-acting spring-return pneumatic ball valve assemblies wherever a defined fail-safe position is required. In this configuration, air pressure moves the valve in one direction and a calibrated spring drives it back to a preset safe position when the air supply is lost, with the valve configured as either fail-closed or fail-open according to process design. This makes spring-return pneumatic ball valves a key element in safety and interlock systems handling flammable, toxic or high-energy media.

Each assembly combines a soft- or metal-seated ball valve, typically in stainless steel or carbon steel, with a spring-return rack and pinion actuator sized with appropriate torque margin for the service pressure and temperature. Actuator housings and springs are specified for industrial environments, with corrosion-resistant finishes and reliable travel back to the fail position over many cycles. Packages can be supplied with matched accessories such as solenoid valves, air filter regulators and limit switch boxes to match the site control philosophy.

Single-acting pneumatic ball valves are used on pump discharge lines, chemical injection points, gas and fuel skids and critical utilities in oil and gas, chemical, power and water treatment plants. Each package is engineered and documented to relevant API, ASME and ISO standards so it can be integrated cleanly into plant safety and control systems.

Threaded & Flanged Pneumatic Ball Valves

Phoenix ValSteer is a pneumatic ball valve exporter supplying both threaded and flanged pneumatic ball valve packages to suit different piping standards and installation constraints. Threaded pneumatic ball valves are typically selected for small-bore lines and skid systems where space is limited and quick installation is required, while flanged pneumatic ball valves are preferred for plant piping where robust bolting, easy removal and standard flange interfaces are important for maintenance and long-term reliability.

Threaded end valves are commonly used on utilities, dosing lines and manifolds, and flanged designs are supplied for pressure classes such as ASME Class 150 to Class 1500 depending on service conditions. Body materials can be supplied in stainless steel or carbon steel, with duplex and other corrosion-resistant alloys evaluated for aggressive media and project specifications. Seats are selected to match pressure and temperature limits and to maintain tight shut-off over repeated cycling.

Assemblies can be supplied with double-acting or spring-return pneumatic actuators and configured with solenoid valves, air filter regulators and limit switch boxes for remote operation and position feedback. Phoenix ValSteer supports EPCs and OEMs with selection guidance and documentation aligned with relevant API, ASME and ISO requirements.

Accessory Packages

Accessory packages turn a pneumatic ball valve into a complete, site-ready automation unit, with control, air preparation and position feedback configured as one package. Phoenix ValSteer supplies matched accessory sets so the valve, actuator and instruments work together reliably and integrate cleanly with your PLC or DCS.

For control, we offer solenoid valves suitable for remote on off operation, selected with the required coil voltage and interface. For stable actuator performance, air filter regulators are provided to condition and regulate instrument air, improving response consistency and extending seal life. For feedback and monitoring, limit switch boxes provide open and close confirmation for interlocks, alarms and panel indication, reducing commissioning effort and troubleshooting time.

Where required, packages can also include speed controllers for adjustable stroking time, quick exhaust valves for faster operation, position indicators, as well as tubing, fittings and mounting hardware for a neat installation. Each accessory package is selected based on duty cycle, air supply, control philosophy and site conditions, and can be supported with datasheets and wiring details for project documentation.

Configured with SOV, AFR, limit switch box and fittings as a complete automation kit.

Pneumatic Ball Valve FAQs

We typically need valve size, pressure rating, body and seat material (if known), media, line pressure, required fail position (fail-open / fail-close / fail-last), available air pressure and control philosophy (on/off or modulating).

Double-acting actuators use air to open and air to close. Spring-return actuators use air in one direction and a spring to move the valve to a defined fail-safe position on air failure.

Yes. VALSTEER pneumatic ball valves can be supplied as fully assembled packages, including actuator, SOV, AFR, limit switch box and basic fittings/tubing as configured in your enquiry or purchase order.

The required air pressure depends on the actuator size and torque required. Typical industrial ranges will be indicated in the actuator datasheet and confirmed during selection.

On selected combinations, pneumatic ball valves can be supplied with positioners for modulating service. This is subject to application review and actuator/positioner compatibility.

In many cases, yes, provided the valve has a suitable stem design and mounting pad, or can be adapted via a bracket and coupling. Details of the existing valve are required to confirm feasibility.
